We really enjoyed the stay at Karin's place! The house was welcoming and clean, and we especially enjoyed the hot tub and two large porches, which offered a stunning view of the greenery below. We loved hearing the sounds of running creeks from our porches! And we loved the quiet solitude! Karin was communicative, accommodating, generous, and gracious. We would definitely book with her again! Note of caution: Drive carefully, and avoid coming with very large or oversized vehicles if you can, as the roads leading to the house are mountainous, narrow, and unpaved. Watch out for deer on the roads!

Absolutely loved our stay! Karin is a wonderful host and we appreciated all the small surprises that were left for us! Amazing house that is clean, new and equipped with everything we needed. Beautiful scenery in secluded area! Definitely would stay here again. One of our favorites!

My family and I had just the right amount of time at this house. It was peaceful, beautiful, and very comfortable. You can tell the hosts care about your experience from the chats and how they prepare the house for your stay. It is well worth the price. One recommendation for future guests- there is a bridge that is closed further down the road. It hasn’t been passable in years but GPS’s sometimes route you that direction (we tried every kind of GPS app and they all did it at least once). So, be sure that your directions bring from the north down to the house. It will save you a lot of time and confusion! The host did mention to look out for this before our stay, but just driving the point home for anyone reading reviews.

A Perfect WV Mountain Retreat . Very peaceful, scenic, and welcoming! I can't recommend Karin & Andrew’s Riverside Haven enough! Nestled in a secluded mountain setting, this place was a true gem—peaceful, beautiful, and everything we needed for a perfect getaway. Traveling with our 4- and 5-year-olds was an absolute dream thanks to how family-friendly this place was! From the moment we arrived, the kids were in awe of everything. The house itself was perfect for them—plenty of space to run around, explore, and just be kids. They loved having their own little corners to play in, and the cozy vibe made them feel right at home. We all were especially fascinated by the river below. The sound of the river became a comforting backdrop while drinking a coffee and grilling in the evening. Wonder Falls was the total highlight of the trip. We spent most of our trip there! You can sit and relax or you can explore & swim. Fun for everyone! Highly recommend! We will be booking again!

What a beautiful property! The house is pristine, you will find no maintenance or cleanliness issues here. Beyond that, it is filled with small thoughtful touches. Mints beside the bed, a hand written welcome note, coffee, snacks, information on the area, I could go on and on! Our family is comprised of three very different generations. My husband (70, also a Navy vet, USNA Class of 74!) me (47) and our daughter (16) We all felt comfortable and relaxed in this space. This is a great property for multiple ages, plenty of room to have space when needed as well as options on spending time together. The hot tub above the roaring water was a welcome treat at the end of days filled with endless walking. Karin was a very welcoming and responsive host. Your thoughtful touches everywhere were very appreciated! Thank you for sharing this place, we would love to visit again and highly recommend!

This is a beautiful spot with unique neighborhood amenities. Two private creek access areas were a hit for our families to cool off on hot summer days. The house is beautiful and clean and we appreciated the kid toys and modestly stocked pantry to supplement our needs.

Whitewater Preserve = Almost Heaven! We had a truly wonderful stay. The kitchen was incredibly well appointed—stocked with everything we needed and more, making it easy to cook and feel right at home. The surrounding area was absolutely beautiful—peaceful, scenic, and a perfect escape. The hosts were thoughtful, responsive, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and every interaction—from start to finish—was met with genuine kindness. We’d absolutely stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, charm, and great hospitality.

Our family enjoyed our stay. Karin was very responsive answering my questions and giving me recommendations. I felt like our host was always available if we had any issues. Gladly, all the ammenities worked great. Our grandchildren loved the toys and puzzles which was unexpected. The area was quite beautiful and very private. I also appreciated the notes on "Things to know" that gave me assurance that our driving and parking was matching what we were experiencing and not lost. Finally, this was our first experience with airbnb. Riverside Haven in Bruceton Mills did not dissappoint. Will recommend to our friends and family.

We stayed at Riverside Haven for Christmas and it was everything we wanted from a house in the mountains! The kitchen was fully stocked, we had everything we needed for our family Christmas dinner. The beds were all very comfortable with extra blankets for my cold kids. The bathrooms were stocked with plenty of towels. The private falls area made for an absolutely beautiful afternoon of exploring. The hot tub and fire place were a perfect ending to each day. The house is close enough to town for quick trips to the store, but still secluded and private. Thank you Karin and Andrew for hosting our family!

Find us

The final 10 minutes of your drive will be on a dirt road, through a farm, and at times on a one-car-wide road. A car is necessary for guests as Uber and Lyft are not prevalent in the area. Restaurants, grocery stores, a gas station, and other shopping places are at a minimum about a 15-20-minute drive away.
